電腦重裝

忍唔住都係要寫低 notes，做褔自己同後人。話說家中有一台不快不慢不新亦不太舊的一台電腦。底板係 ASUS P7H55-M。由於不能正常住入 windows 7，故勞動家妹幫忙重裝系統。當中過程不太難亦不易。唯當中有兩個重點。
1. windows download tool 唔識 format mbr，當佢睇有 mbr 唔係空白時佢就會 prompt error 話抄唔到。可以用 disk part 去處理佢。
2. 唔知點解個 bios 唔識認 usb thumb drive 做 bootable device。 小弟上次用 usb cdrom 避過問題。呢次終於搵到 root solution。就係喺 advance --> USB Mass Storage Configuration --> Emulation Type (AUTO) --> HDD。再係 boot sequence o既 HDD 度揀 USB thumb drive。 再 save and exit 就應該可以順利 boot from USB thumb drive

或者，可以試可係 POST 畫面按 F8 睇下有無得揀 boot device by manual。

USB Thumb drive

USB thumb drive 呢家嘢，第一，唔好貪平買啲唔知咩牌子，古靈精怪啲 thumb drive，正正經經買番啲大牌子。第二，唔好貪平諗住慢小小無所謂。抄得落去 usb thumb drive多數都係趕侯趕命咁。當你抄小小嘢要成半粒鐘你都會有急到想瀨o既感覺。第三，千褀唔好 single source in USB drive。因為佢係會唔見同埋有機會突然死亡。所以我一直都唔主張或者唔鐘意用 thumb drive 就係呢個原因。

但係，後尾發現原來用 usb 裝 windows 又真係好鬼死方便。

Windows 8 下的倉頡輸入法

面對我這種老頑固，裝咗 Windows 8 後，依然係用 Desktop 模式的。
今次想留住o既技巧係，關於倉頡。

還在用倉頡的香港人實在不多。Anyway，在 Windows 8 的環境下，有否發現'Ctrl' + 'Alt' + ',' 打唔到標點符號呢？多謝 search engine，我搵到答案，原來只要按著 'Ctrl' 再打你想要嘅標點符號就可以啦，但我仲未打到個感嘆號...

WHS 2011 connector 問題解決

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager and then on the right see if there is a value called "PendingFileRenameOperations". Delete it.

this can eliminate the error saying "Setup has detected that another program requires the computer to reboot" error message during connector installation!
